Vick reality show

Disgraced NFL quarter back Michael Vick, fresh from spending 18 months in prison for running a dogfighting ring, will star in a BET reality show.

That would be the very same reality show first reported last April by NFL.com — and vehemently denied by Vick’s agent, Joel Segal. “Any speculation of Mike doing a reality show is false,” Segal said at the time. “He has no interest in that. Absolutely false.”

Oh really?

Then how would Segal explain Vick’s new deal with BET for the eight-episode series? It’s called “The Michael Vick Project” and will document Vick’s much-hyped comeback with the Philadelphia Eagles and his life since leaving prison, according to reports.

It’s all part of Vick’s full-on publicity push to shed his bad-guy image, which has included a “60 Minutes” interview and his signing with the Eagles after doing time in federal prison in Leavenworth, Kansas.

The show will return to Leavenworth and to the Virginia property where Vick ran his brutal dogfighting ring, according to the Los Angeles Times.

“No way are we excusing or minimizing the atrocity that Michael was involved in,” BET exec Loretha Jones told the paper.

“However, there are numerous public figures who have engaged in egregious behavior and have been given a second chance.”
