Ben Silverman renews deal with Diller’s Electus

Ben Silverman is staying in the Barry Diller camp after all.

The former NBC entertainment chief has renewed his contract with Electus, the TV and digital production studio backed by Diller’s IAC/InterActiveCorp.

IAC confirmed that Silverman, who launched Electus in 2009, is staying put — quashing rumors that Diller was looking to renegotiate his deal and would ask him to play a reduced role.

“IAC has renewed Ben Silverman’s contract, and he continues to serve as chairman and founder of Electus,” an IAC rep told The Post.

Electus’ projects include VH1’s “Mob Wives,” which is filming its fourth season, and NBC’s now canceled reality-TV competition “Fashion Star.”

The contract negotiations have dragged on since the summer, fueling speculation that Silverman would be pushed aside. The chatter grew louder in September, when Diller parted ways with Daily Beast founder Tina Brown.

Now that he’s solidified his status at Electus, Silverman appears to be expanding his fiefdom.

A former talent agent with William Morris, he’s planning to make an investment in an unnamed Hollywood management company, according to sources.

He’s also working with rapper Eminem. In September Silverman announced that Eminem’s Shady Films will become an equity partner in Silverman’s YouTube channel Loud.

Silverman declined to comment.
