Actress Natalie Portman has denied rumors that she would appear in “Dark Knight” director Christopher Nolan’s next Batman movie and “300” director Zack Snyder’s upcoming Superman reboot, World Entertainment News Network reported Monday.
Portman, currently starring in the ballet thriller “Black Swan,” was rumored to have been approached about starring in Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises” and Snyder’s “Superman: The Man of Steel,” but in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, she denied that she had been contacted about either project.
“What is that? No, I haven’t heard anything,” she said when asked about the “Superman” rumors.
As for “The Dark Knight Rises,” Portman told the magazine, “Oh, I don’t know anything about that.”
Portman confirmed on Dec. 27 that she is engaged to choreographer Benjamin Millepied, whom she met while working on “Black Swan,” and that the couple are expecting their first child.
