Gal foils burglars from bed

A Brooklyn woman cowering under her bedcovers as burglars ransacked her apartment managed to call 911 — and then even nabbed one of the crooks herself, police said.

“I moved the covers a little bit to peek out, and I see [one of the burglars] holding my iPad in one hand and a knife in the other,” Katherine Garcia, 23, told The Post yesterday.

Garcia’s terrifying ordeal began at 5:15 a.m. Sunday, when ex-con Carlos Lopez, 37, and Derney Garcia, 47, pried open the door to her first-floor apartment on Irving Avenue in Bushwick, cops said.

Derney Garcia, who is not related to the woman, had cleaned her apartment in the past, sources said.

The petite woman quickly ducked underneath her thick covers and frantically called cops.

As police arrived, Lopez allegedly tried to make a break for it while carrying two garbage bags filled with stolen items. But Katherine said she chased him down and grabbed him by the shirt.
