Cornell University has tapped a new chief to run its medical college.
Laurie Glimcher, a leading research scientist and immunology expert at the Harvard School of Public Health, was named Cornell’s provost of medical affairs and dean of Weill Cornell Medical College, the university announced last night.
“There aren’t many times in one’s life when the `perfect opportunity’, the `dream job’, comes along. I think this is one of those times,’’ Glimcher said.
