Woman survives jump off Whitestone Bridge: officials

A woman jumped from the Whitestone Bridge this morning — and survived, authorities said.

The 57-year-old, Bronx-bound driver parked her car near the span’s Bronx Tower and threw herself into icy waters below at 8:18 a.m., police sources said.

The highest point of the Whitestone Bridge is 157 feet high, and where she jumped was 120 feet above the water, according to law enforcement sources.

A Port Authority patrol boat quickly plucked the woman from the river and rushed her to New York Hospital of Queens, cops said.

The woman is awake and in stable condition, cops said.
