Tebow Time with the Jets has not run out yet.
The popular backup quarterback is still on the roster, and plans on reporting to the team’s facility Monday when the team’s offseason workouts begin, The Post has learned.
It is not surprising that Tebow, who rarely makes a misstep, would show up, but no one could blame him if he is fed up with the Jets. The team has no intention of having him on the team when the season arrives but seems to be clinging to the slim hope it can trade him.
Jets general manager John Idzik has been shopping Tebow for weeks, but has not found any takers.
The Jets gave up a fourth-round pick to the Broncos a year ago to acquire him. The thought was he could be a backup to Mark Sanchez and run some special packages designed for him, but the experiment blew up in the Jets’ faces.
Former GM Mike Tannenbaum was fired after the season with the Tebow trade a blemish on his resume. The Jets have talked about having an open competition at quarterback this year, but Tebow is not going to be part of it.
The team has Sanchez, David Garrard, Greg McElroy and Matt Simms on its roster at quarterback. Idzik could be holding out hope that a trade partner will emerge during the NFL Draft in two weeks, but that seems unlikely.

There also is the “Tebowmania” craze that comes with the Heisman Trophy winner. Many teams around the league could be scared off by the media baggage that comes with Tebow, who is slated to make $2.5 million this season, a high price for a backup quarterback with question marks.
The Jets could release Tebow before Monday’s workouts begin to avoid an uncomfortable situation and being responsible for Tebow’s salary if he is injured during the workouts.
