Widow sues MTA over husband’s fatal fall from bus

An elderly Manhattan widow says trying to board an MTA bus by using the movable ramp for the disabled cost her husband his life.

Eleanor Missaghieh and her husband, Hushang Missaghieh, were attempting to board an M15 bus Oct. 19 when the incident occurred.

Hushang, 76, was using his walker and Eleanor was standing behind him when the driver raised the ramp too fast, she alleges in a Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit.

The two were flung from the ramp and sent flying to the ground, court papers state.

Hushang suffered head trauma in the fall and died five days later despite surgery, his wife claims in court papers.

She is suing the MTA and the city for unspecified damages.

The MTA declined to comment on the litigation.
