Man survives getting hit by train

A man was hit by a train in Midtown and survived, authorities said.

The unidentified victim, was struck on the northbound tracks for the A, C, and E lines at 34th Street and Eighth Avenue around 11:05 a.m., Wednesday, police said.

The man was taken to Bellevue Hospital with serious injuries, officials said.

Police are still investigating and interviewing straphangers but preliminary reports indicate the man jumped in front of the train, sources said.
