Booze bandit hijacks Heineken truck in Chelsea

This could drive a trucker to drink.

A booze-loving bandit swiped a Heineken truck in Chelsea — making off with enough kegs to intoxicate an entire college dorm — after the driver left his keys under the front seat, police sources and witnesses said.

The ditzy driver, who works for the Brooklyn-based firm Demon Trucking, double parked the big green ride while making a snowy delivery to Pinch Food Design on 11th Avenue and 27th Street at around 12:30 p.m. on Monday, witnesses and cops said.

He came back five minutes later and his heart sunk — the booze mobile, full of 11 kegs and 10 cases of vodka, was gone, police sources and witnesses said.

Cops later recovered the truck, stripped of everything but one 24-pack of beer, in the Bronx, sources said.

The thirsty thieves stole 11 kegs, five cases Georgi Vodka and five cases of Sky Vodka, a source said.

The crooks also busted open a safe in the truck that held no money.

“It’s funny people these days are crazy. There was a snow storm and it was cold outside, maybe they just wanted to stay warm,” said one witness.

He added, “There was a lot of snow, so they had one-up on the cops [during the getaway].”

The truck driver, who has been employed by the company for 14 years, years was suspended from the job for four days.

It was his 24th delivery of the day, near the end of his shift, a source from the trucking firm said.
