‘90210’ KIDS GET TO AGE ANOTHER YEAR

THE gang from America’s most famous zip-code are going to get a 10th anniversary show after all.

Despite expectations that this season was going to be the last for”Beverly Hills 90210,” Fox has renewed the aging drama for at least one more.

The show, joins the ranks of an elite fraternity of network shows – including “Gunsmoke” and “M*A*S*H” – that have lasted 10 years or more.

“To the happy surprise of everyone involved, ‘90210’ remains a solid franchise,” said David Marans, a media expert with J. Walter Thompson.

Over the years, the show’s producers have tried to grow up its story-lines as its cast members got older.

Producer Aaron Spelling even has a replacement show – with the working title “90210, The New Generation” – in developement.

Instead, the show’s central cast members will be returning to the nighttime soap, including Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Ian Ziering and Luke Perry who returned to the show last fall.
