Manhattan sisters suing their psychologist dad over college tuition for their sister

Four daughters of a deadbeat doctor dad are suing him for allegedly reneging on a promise to pay for his youngest girl’s college education, a Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit reveals.

Sisters Nora, Magdalena and Lola Kelleher, of West 23rd Street, and Ina Kelleher, of California, claim their father, Daniel Kelleher, a child psychologist based in Connecticut, had promised to give his daughters a Paris apartment and half of a checking account he shared with their mother, now his ex-wife.

They signed documents enshrining the agreement last June.

The doctor and his former wife, Sylvie Furstenberg, gifted their daughters the Paris property, which generates rental income of about $2,600 a month.

The three elder sisters say they agreed to give their share of the income to pay for half of Lola’s tuition for attendance at Oberlin College.

The other half was supposed to have come from Dr. Kelleher. But he “breached his contract with [his daughters] by failing and refusing to perform in good faith his obligation to transfer the monthly rental income less any maintenance charges from the Paris apartment for the months of July and August 2012 to his four daughters,” according to the court papers.

The delinquent dad needs to cough up the $5,300 in tuition, the suit claims.

Neither Dr. Kelleher nor his attorney returned calls seeking comment.

His ex-wife declined to comment.
