A wild car accident in Brooklyn left four people — including two cops — with only minor injuries after a driver ran a red light and plowed into a car that then flipped into a police cruiser, authorities said.

The chaotic scene started shortly after two police officers pulled up to settle a dispute in Brownsville at the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Rockaway Avenue at around 1:30 p.m this afternoon, cops said.

As the officers were sitting in their vehicle, a woman in a black Mercedes traveling eastbound on Atlantic Avenue blew a red light and slammed into a gray BMW traveling south on Rockway that was making a left onto Atlantic, police said.

The crash sent the BMW flipping into the police car, where the two officers suffered only minor head lacerations and back injuries. They were taken to Kings County Hospital where one of the cops was treated and released. The more seriously injured officer is still being treated and is expected to make a full recovery, police said.

“Bang!” said Tito Fontana, describing the sound of the crash. “When the car flipped over, it sounded like a bomb”

The male and female drivers involved in the crash were also taken to Kings County Hospital with minor injuries. Authorities said neither of the drivers have been issued summonses at this time.
