Sapp angry with Strahan: ‘Pick the spot and I’ll come see you’

Too bad Madison Square Garden isn’t free this weekend.

Warren Sapp fired back at Michael Strahan on Wednesday as their Hall of Fame feud rolled on during Super Bowl week. Sapp reiterated his claim Tuesday that Strahan didn’t deserve to be in the Hall of Fame, and the Giants great responded by calling Sapp “a coward.” That didn’t sit well with Sapp.

“He took it to a level that it didn’t need to be,” Sapp told CBS Sports radio host Jim Rome.

“I was just talking about his resume. I didn’t say anything about his gap tooth or his S words or his F words that I don’t understand what the hell he’s saying. So, if he wants to go personal, we can go personal. But I was just stacking him against the class … Why does his resume not get examined like everybody else’s? What makes him so special? He’s talking about I have a problem for him. I have a problem with his resume. I don’t know anything of the man.”

Sapp said he would meet with Strahan so the two could settle the matter. Sapp is in New York covering the Super Bowl for NFL Network. Strahan is working for Fox and doing his usual “Live with Kelly and Michael” show.

Sapp was inducted into the Hall of Fame last year, while Strahan missed out. The defensive end is a finalist again this year, and the announcement comes Saturday.

“What did I say that was so bad? … If you think that’s what it is. Pick the spot and I’ll come see you,” Sapp said.
