BEATLE GAL’S BAD TRACK RECORD

Nancy Shevell showed she couldn’t care less about being an MTA board member when she skipped a crucial fare-hike vote and darted off to London with her Beatle beau Paul McCartney, a city lawmaker said yesterday.

Shevell is “someone who does not belong on the MTA board,” said Councilman John Liu (D-Queens), who chairs the Transportation Committee, adding that it seems like she “clearly does not want to be there.”

Shevell arrived home on the Upper East Side yesterday evening (right) and refused to comment on her travels.

She is expected to attend today’s full board meeting, where the agency’s doomsday fare hikes will be finalized, the MTA said.

She has now skipped at least two major votes in six months in favor of international jaunts with McCartney.

The lovebirds were photographed Monday strolling in London and then twisting and shouting at the opening night of “The Boat That Rocked” a film about radio stations anchored off the UK coast in the 1960’s.

“I don’t see how you go to a show when an important vote that will impact millions of people is taking place,” said Liu. “It is inexcusable.”
