CHILLING ‘ALASKA’ HEIST HITS SOHO

A thief smashed a window at a SoHo gallery that showcases the works of isolated Alaskan artists and snatched jewelry carved from walrus tusks, cops said yesterday.

But staff at Alaska House on Mercer Street believe the masked raider only grabbed the display of ivory bracelets worth about $10,000 early Sunday because he couldn’t loosen a flat-screen TV bolted to a wall.

“I don’t think there’s much of a black market for Alaskan ivory bracelets,” said executive director Tracey Foster.

“I don’t think he had any idea what he was taking.”
