Rush Limbaugh is telling New York to drop dead.
The high-rated radio ranter announced on his broadcast that he was “officially vacating New York after these stupid, punitive, massive tax increases.”
Limbaugh who owns a condo and a Fifth Avenue penthouse, said Gov. Patterson’s tax hike for top wage earners is driving him out of the state.
He said the state’s political leadership was “punishing the achievers for the mistakes . . . of a bunch of corrupt politicians.”
The conservative talkmeister said he and the Empire State will be mutually happy to part company.
New York “is probably going to celebrate that I’m not coming back,” he said. “They hate me, so they’re happy I’m not coming back. They’re going to praise Paterson for driving me out.”
