NEW BISHOP WILL COME KNOCKIN’

Scripture says knock and the door shall be opened to you.

Well, Archbishop Timothy Dolan will have to knock pretty hard on the massive bronze doors of St. Patrick’s Cathedral to be heard by the 2,300 worshippers inside before walking in to become the New York Archdiocese’s new boss.

“We are working out the technical issues of how people will hear his knock,” archdiocese spokesman Joseph Zwilling said yesterday.

The jovial Irish-American cleric’s new job in the Big Apple begins April 14 with an evening “solemn vespers” prayer service at the storied cathedral, followed the next day by an afternoon Mass of installation.
