2 polygamy towns raided

SALT LAKE CITY — Utah and Arizona authorities served search warrants yesterday on government offices in two towns dominated by a polygamous sect.

Warrants for records were served at fire stations in Colorado City, Ariz., and Hildale, Utah, said Salt Lake City attorney Rod Parker, who represents the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Management of the twin towns, which abut each other along the Utah-Arizona line, has been under increasing scrutiny since 2005.
