An off-duty Secret Service agent miraculously avoided serious injury on the BQE in Brooklyn yesterday when the rear wheels of a tractor-trailer flattened the front of his vehicle, sources said.
The agent was headed west on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway at 5:15 p.m. when the 18-wheeler cut in front of his government-issued vehicle just before the 39th Street exit, officials said.
The back tires smacked onto the hood of his car, causing him to spin around and slam into a concrete barricade.
The car was totaled, but the agent declined medical attention.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was unaware of what happened and continued on.
Coincidentally, a second Secret Service agent witnessed the accident, put on his emergency lights and pulled over the tractor-trailer driver, who wasn’t charged.
