My wife beat me up: White Plains mayor

A Westchester mayor on trial for domestic violence is denying he ever assaulted his wife, and says she was the one who regularly attacked him.

White Plains Mayor Adam Bradley testified yesterday that his wife, Fumiko, often kicked and punched him. He said he never responded.

The mayor is charged with slamming a door on his wife’s fingers, throwing hot tea at her and other crimes. He has pleaded not guilty.

Under cross-examination, Bradley said he never called police on his wife because he was intent on keeping their family together.

Bradley, a Democrat, became mayor in January and was arrested in February.
