Bam parties hearty — as everyone else burns

THE ISSUE: Pres. Obama’s attendance at White House social functions amid several crises.

Our delusional president thinks it’s party time 24/7, which might be excusable in better times — but, while the world burns, President Obama sings (“President Party Boy,” John Gibson, PostOpinion, June 10).

Obama epitomizes the poor work ethic of numerous public administrators. Once they’ve hooked the job, there’s nothing left to do but party. Just ask the members of the New York state Senate, who do more partying than legislating.

While the Gulf Coast is knee-deep in crude oil and private-sector jobs are still dwindling, Obama’s doing the twist with Sir Paul McCartney and the Jonas Brothers.

I voted for Obama, but I have to admit that the ostentatiousness displayed by the president and first lady while people are losing their jobs and homes is obscene.

I would dial it down a few notches regarding state dinners and the like.

Obama has been compared to many historical figures over the past 18 months, from Josef Stalin to the Messiah — but the one who comes to mind most of late as he goes about his business like a man without a care is Nero fiddling while Rome burned.

Boy, The Post really has it in for Obama. Whether it’s Michael Goodwin’s daily bashing or Gibson’s column, Obama can do nothing right.

OK, the president had a party when oil is leaking into the Gulf and unemployment is high. I wonder if you think that the big fix for both of these problems would happen if he wasn’t at a party.

It is not his fault that the economy is the way it is or that BP screwed up.

As president, he is doing what he can on these matters. Do you really want to go back to the days of President George Bush and the evil Dick Cheney?

Gibson points out that Obama and his flunkies are out of touch with Americans.

Obama’s aloof attitude toward the plight of Americans affected by disaster is an indication of arrogance by a chief executive surrounded by a plethora of incompetent staffers unseen in previous administrations.

If Obama is looking for someone’s “ass to kick,” he may want to start with his own.

Three White House-sponsored music parties in the last seven weeks?

I wonder if they included oil in the goody bags.
