Take that, Amanda Bynes.
A day after Bynes announced via Twitter that she’s retiring — at the ripe old age of 24 — 91-year-old “60 Minutes” curmudgeon Andy Rooney says he’ll work until the day he dies.
“How long am I going to work? How long am I going to live? That’s the question,” Rooney told tvnewser.com.
“I will work until I drop, or until I lose my head.
“Until somebody tells me different, I’m not going to quit.”
Rooney, who joined CBS in 1949 — and once wrote for Arthur Godfrey — says he goes to the office seven days a week, and can’t imagine giving up what he calls “the best show on the air” after 34 years.
“My work is as good as it ever was,” he says. “Nobody [at CBS] says I should step down . . . What else would I do?”
