It was a banner evening for an NYPD video-surveillance unit in Harlem, whose eagle-eyed members within hours helped nab three suspects wanted for a shooting and a robbery, sources told The Post.
Tuesday evening at around 6:30 p.m. cops of the “Viper One” unit — whose officers monitor video-surveillance feeds from area housing projects — were handed two wanted posters showing photos of four suspects, a source said.
One showed three suspects sought for a Saturday robbery and the other showed a gunman wanted for a non-fatal Tuesday shooting.
About 45 minutes later, a Viper cop watching video feeds noticed two men in an elevator at the Grant Houses on Amsterdam Avenue. A short time later, cops arrested brothers Emmanuel Soto, 16, and Edgar, 18, who were charged in the robbery.
Hours later, a cop assigned to the Viper unit spotted a 25-year-old man on video surveillance at 125th Street and Broadway, and alerted other officers who hauled him in for questioning.
