A California congressman proved vaping makes even the most handsome of us look like d-bags.
Duncan Hunter, a Republican from San Diego, whipped out a vaporizer during a congressional hearing on Thursday while arguing vaping should be allowed on planes.
“This is called a vaporizer,” he said, after taking a toke from an e-cigarette. “There’s no combustion, there’s no carcinogens.”
Despite science suggesting health risks to vaping, the 39-year-old is an unapologetic e-smoker.
“The reason I vape is simple: It’s so I don’t smoke cigarettes. I vape knowing that I’m not inhaling tobacco. Most importantly, I vape because I believe it could save my life,” he wrote in a December editorial for The Hill.
Despite Hunter’s theatrics, the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee upheld the in-flight vape ban.
