Elton John is so ’90s.
The superstar does not own a cell phone, an admission that absolutely shocked “Late Late Show” host James Corden during a very charming rendition of Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke” segment.
“I don’t have a phone,” John, 68, told the CBS host.
“How have you not got a phone?” a clearly surprised Corden asked. ” … So what do you do then?
John’s response? “There’s someone around me, there’s usually a security person with a phone.”
That said, “I do have an iPad.”
We all know John has a landline, though. This past fall, the singer got tricked into thinking Vladimir Putin had called him to discuss gay rights. After the prank went down, the Russian president really did ring up Sir Elton.
