Male Assembly staffer getting paid amid sexual harassment suit

A male Assembly staffer who accused his female boss of sexual harassment stopped showing up for work more than three months ago but continues to collect his full salary, The Post has learned.

Insiders said Assembly leaders are stumped about what to do with Elias Farah, 29, who filed the charges against freshman Assemblywoman Angela Wozniak, a Republican who represents a district outside Buffalo.

“They’re in a tough spot,” said one lawmaker. “I mean, what can they do with him?”

Farah contends Wozniak, 28, intimidated him into having sex with her. Farah is paid $1,534 every two weeks.

“We do not comment on personnel matters,” said Michael Fraser, spokesman for Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb.

But Democrats said only Kolb’s office would know if Farah was still getting paid and why.

Wozniak “denies any wrongdoing and is continuing to cooperate,” said her lawyer, Steven Cohen.

Farah declined to comment because of the ongoing investigation.

Several sources said the Assembly Ethics Committee has ordered all parties not to discuss the harassment claim or anything related to it until the members complete their investigation.
