Accused serial killer tried to hide bodies under merchandise: witnesses

Accused Brooklyn serial killer Salvatore “Son of Sal” Perrone tried to hide his victims’ corpses under merchandise from their stores, witnesses testified during his trial Monday.

NYPD Detective Carlos Pantoja said the body of shopkeeper Isaac Kadare was partly covered with cardboard boxes.

“He [also] had an aluminum tray on his face,” the cop said. “He was laying on his right side, and there was a pool of blood.’’

The first person allegedly killed by Perrone, Mohamed Gebeli, was found buried under a pile of clothing from his store, Gebeli’s friend, Toufik Abid, told jurors.

“I pulled the cloak from his face and saw a bullet in his neck,” Abid said.

Perrone, who has been prone to court outbursts, remained uncharacteristically quiet during the proceeding. He stands accused of shooting three Middle Eastern shopkeepers in Brooklyn in 2012.
