In recent years, the Tribeca Film Festival has quietly become a haven for buzzy documentaries — and the 14th annual fest, running through April 26 with tickets available at tribecafilm.com, is no exception.

‘Thought Crimes’

Documentarian Erin Lee Carr gets exclusive access to the mind of Gilberto Valle, better known as the Cannibal Cop.

‘The Wolfpack’

The film, already a winner at Sundance, explores the bizarre circumstances of the Angulo siblings, whose father kept them confined inside a cramped Lower East Side apartment for the majority of their young lives.

‘As I AM: The Life and Times of DJ AM’
