Bonobos plans to open Flatiron flagship store

Bonobos is trying on a new retail space for size — and it’s going to be the roomiest yet.

The men’s clothier has selected a Fifth Avenue spot in the Flatiron District as its new flagship “Guideshop” in which patrons try stuff on before ordering it online.

The 4,000 square-foot space at 95 Fifth Ave. is slated to open in June, and will dwarf all of the company’s other 14 US locations.

By comparison, the Bonobos location on Crosby Street in Soho is about 1,200 square feet, while a showroom at its headquarters at 45 W. 25th St. is about 800 square feet, founder and CEO Andy Dunn said.

“This Fifth Avenue Guideshop is our first real flagship,” Dunn told The Post. “This will really expose our customer to the breadth of assortment we have [in ] tailored clothing, shirts, suits, outerwear.”

Dunn noted that shirts and suits now account for more of the brand’s business than pants, which earlier had been the company’s main claim to fame.

Bonobos locations are staffed by “guides” who “ provide the hybrid service of a fit expert and style adviser in a relaxed, one-on-one environment,” the company says.

RKF represented both the landlord and the tenant in the 10-year lease on the space, which was previously occupied by Kenneth Cole.

“With the Flatiron District’s strong residential demographics and its booming start-up and technology workforce, 95 Fifth Ave. presented an opportunity that simply could not be passed up,” said RKF associate Justin Fantasia.
