Reality star’s new sweater line is match in promotion heaven

Never before has there been a more appropriate reality-star business venture than Jax Taylor’s sweater line. It’s a match made in product promotion heaven.

Taylor, a bartender and actor, is the 35-year-old chiseled breakout character on Bravo’s “Vanderpump Rules,” a spin-off of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” The lothario’s star-making moment came in the show’s first season, when, in a fit of rage, he ripped off a chunky cable knit sweater to fight, revealing his rock solid abs.

“I get asked about that sweater pretty much every single day,” Taylor tells the Post. “I still have it.”

He suspects “Housewives” creator Andy Cohen might want the sweater to display in the Bravo clubhouse, but, if not, he says “I’m going to auction it off for charity.”

But fans of the show — and Taylor’s hot bod — won’t have to wait until then to get a chunk of Jax’s style. In June he partnered with XCALIBUR for a line of fall sweaters for men and women. Made of fabrics imported from Milan and Mexico, the knitwear will set you back between $125 to $295, available at xcaliburshoes.com.

For someone known for taking off his clothes, Taylor sees the irony in having a line that encourages you to cover up.

“Yeah, well, I wish I could work out a line with something related to being naked,” he says, laughing.

With his new focus on business — he also has a shoe line and a fitness app, as well as a dating book, watch line and glasses line in the works — Taylor says he’s a changed man, especially after the beating his castmates gave him over his cheating at the reunion last season. In the third season, now in post-production, we’ll see a new Jax, and reports have linked him to model Carmen Dickman.

“I’m very, very happy,” he says.

But some things never change. When asked if he’s monogamous these days, he replies with a laugh.

“Um, sometimes,” he says.
