‘Heir to half of Manhattan’ is now an intern

Guess he couldn’t land a job in Manhattan.

The student who boasted on a viral video that his dad “owns half of Manhattan,” and “owns the cops,” is toiling away as a lowly intern in a Brooklyn court for a domestic-violence judge.

Gerry Shalam, whose drunken rant earned him the online title “New York’s biggest jerk,” was caught on video after emerging from brunch spot Pranna recently, saying, “Do you want me to call f–king Bill de Blasio on you right now? He’s a f–king liberal, but I’ll f–king call him.”

Shalam, 20, whose dad actually is a garment-industry executive who lives in Allenhurst, NJ, is working for Brooklyn Supreme Court Judge Esther Morgenstern, according to a staffer for the jurist.

Shalam hired an attorney after his bout with Internet infamy, and threatened to sue the man who shot and posted the video. Shalam is studying political science and government at NYU.

Neither Shalam nor his lawyer could be reached for comment.
