The young American woman accused of murdering her socialite mother in Bali before stuffing her in a suitcase claims that she’s pregnant.
Heather Mack, 19, and her boyfriend, Tommy Schaefer, 21, have been in police custody since the body was discovered Tuesday at the St. Regis resort, and the two could face execution by firing squad if convicted.
“She has not told us who the father is, but there are indications that it is her current boyfriend, Tommy,” a senior police officer told the Daily Mail.
Mack has claimed the pregnancy is ectopic, which is a dangerous condition in which the baby develops outside of the uterus.
She has begged authorities to send her back to the US so she can receive proper medical treatment.
She was spotted Friday being led to the OB-GYN section of a police hospital in Bali for tests, according to the Daily Mail.
