Woman sues Nieman & Givenchy for injury from rusty nail in shoe

A Manhattan woman got a painful surprise when she tried on a pair of discounted $1,250 Givenchy boots at a Florida Nieman Marcus outlet.

Fitness trainer Andrea Pritchett says she got stuck by a rusty nail in the black suede ankle bootie — and now she’s suing Nieman and Givenchy for $75,000 over the fashion disaster.

“I love shoes,” Pritchett, 44, told The Post. “Love them. I try them on, buy lots of them and I was just shocked that there was a nail in the shoe.”

Pritchett said she was attracted to the booties, which were marked down to $500 at the Last Call outlet store in Sunrise, Fla.

She pulled one on in a hurry, she recalled, “And I was like, ‘Wait there’s something in my foot . . . Get it off.’”

When a store manager came with a Band-Aid for her bloody toe, Pritchett demanded to see the nail and snapped a photo.

She needed a tetanus shot and was prescribed powerful antibiotics at an emergency room, her Manhattan Supreme Court suit says.

Once an avid runner, she says the Jan. 3 injury has forced her to stop her favorite exercise.

A rep for the department store declined to comment.

A Givenchy spokeswoman did not immediately comment.
