Pittman heads to desert festival in fancy RV

Commercial radio kingpin Bob Pittman is firing up the Falcon 900 jet and heading to the Burning Man festival in the desert this week, according to On the Money tipsters.

Pittman has headed to Nevada’s Black Rock Desert for the better part of a decade to take in the sometimes-kooky community art and music festival — but while most shun the world of consumerism, Pittman, tipsters note, has a tricked-out multimillion-dollar RV.

The 60-year-old exec is not alone — the festival attracts a host of Silicon Valley billionaires who just want to get back to their hippie roots for a few days. In prior years, Google’s Larry Page and Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg have attended.

His spokeswoman said she wasn’t aware of his plans.

Pittman, the CEO of Clear Channel, which owns 850 radio stations, told The Hollywood Reporter last year that he enjoys the event because, “One of the problems of aging if you’re a creative person is that you tend to narrow your world. It opens my eyes to possibilities.”
