Russell Simmons, known for throwing some of the East End’s splashiest soirees for charity, has sold his East Hampton estate for its full $6.995 million asking price.

The property was stealthily shopped around, and the sale to an unnamed buyer was swift.

Simmons’ name has long been associated with the Hamptons, but the 55-year-old hip-hop mogul has recently spent more time in Buddha-esque yoga poses with his decades-younger gal pal on the beach in Miami.

The Hamptons mansion at 20 Jericho Close Lane was built in 2000. The two-story Traditional home is 4,800 square feet with seven bedrooms, 5 1/2 bathrooms and two fireplaces. It’s on 3.7 acres with a heated pool. Listing broker Susan Breitenbach of the Corcoran Group declined to comment.

In summers past, we’ve attended Simmons’ annual Art for Life event at the estate, with proceeds benefiting underprivileged kids through his Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation. The Hamptons should hope the new owner is big, bold and Zen enough to carry on the philanthropic tradition.

Barry Livin’son

Is there a diner nearby? Oscar-winning filmmaker Barry Levinson just bought a funky SoHo loft for $5.65 million. The three-bedroom, three-bathroom Wooster Street condo (pictured) is more than 3,000 square feet and was listed for $5.95 million.

The cast-iron building dates back to 1891, and the apartment has its own private elevator landing, 13-foot ceilings, exposed beams and columns, a fireplace and an open kitchen with a wine cooler.

Listing broker Jason Saft of Citi Habitatsdeclined to comment, as did Levinson’s broker, Town Residential’s Jason Karadus.

Levinson, known for films like “Diner,” “Rain Man” and “Good Morning Vietnam,” currently lives in Connecticut with his family. We hear that he is in the city a lot for work and needed a crash pad.

Reach your potential

A Chelsea lifestyle with the ultimate Design Within Reach sensibility doesn’t come cheap.

John Edelman, CEO of Design Within Reach (“one of the world’s leading furniture and design firms”), has a a stunning penthouse that he custom-designed at 150 W. 26th St. on the market for $4.995 million, down from its $5.495 million price a few weeks ago.

The three-bedroom, three-bathroom loft is 2,070 square feet with 12-foot ceilings. And there’s even more space outdoors — a “staggering” 3,000 square feet with three terraces and a roof deck with an outdoor shower. The terrace off the living room is 70 feet long and includes a Wolf gas BBQ grill and great Empire State building views.

Edelman also owns another unit in the building, a two-bedroom he is renting out. At one point, we hear, he was thinking about combining both units to create a duplex.

We hear . . .

That Boca Raton’s One Thousand Ocean is screening the action thriller “Parker” on Jan 25. The film’s stars, Jennifer Lopez and Ja
son Statham, were filmed in the condo building’s $6.4 million penthouse 601 for the movie. That 4,972-square-foot, four-bedroom, 4 1/2-bathroom unit comes with a private plunge pool and outdoor kitchen on one of its two terraces. Only six of the building’s 52 residences remain available. Prices are from $3 million to $15 million.

Bottum’s up

He wants it all — and he can have it! Faith No More keyboard player Roddy Bottum, who once had a fling with Courtney Love, just closed on a gorgeous $1.975 million triplex at 130 Jane St. in the West Village.

The two-bedroom, two-bathroom duplex includes 500 square feet of outdoor rooftop space and views from the Hudson River to the Empire State Building.

There’s also a glass staircase with a stainless-steel railing, a woodburning fireplace, exposed brick, an open chef’s kitchen and a built-in bar with a wine refrigerator and lots of storage.

Douglas Elliman’s Lawrence Rich, who represented Bottum, declined to comment.
