One Montana lawmaker wants to bring back the days of Buffalo Bill.

Rep. Alan Doane is pushing a “shoot-on-sight” bill for bison, allowing anyone to blast the massive beasts if they walk on their property.

“A free man . . . should be able to say what he does on his property,” Doane said.

Also in Montana, a would-be thief had a change of heart — as a clerk was handing him the money.

The crook broke down crying after demanding cash from the register of a pizza restaurant — and sobbed that he only wanted to provide for his family.

The clerk was so moved, he offered to make the man a pizza and wings. The crook waited, took the meal and left.
