Realty big accused of rape at posh Standard Hotel

An Aspen, Colo., real-estate honcho is accused of raping a woman at the tony Standard hotel in the Meatpacking District, The Post has learned.

Keith Hartigan, 37, was busted Friday inside the famed Andre Balasz hotel in Manhattan and charged with first-degree rape, law-enforcement sources told The Post yesterday.

Hartigan runs View West Properties, which boasts a multitude of high-end residences, according to his LinkedIn page. The company’s Facebook site features photos of Jack Nicholson’s house and a snapshot of Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon in ski gear with a caption touting the stars’ renting an Aspen getaway in 2009.

The sex assault allegedly occurred at 4:30 a.m. Friday after a buddy of Hartigan’s first cozied up to the 31-year-old victim at the trendy 675 Bar on Hudson Street, law-enforcement sources said.

The pal then brought the woman back to a room on the ninth floor of The Standard, where rates run as high as $1,700 per night, the sources said.

At some point, the pal and woman fell asleep, sources said.

The victim said she was suddenly awakened by a drunken Hartigan as he groped her and ripped off her underwear, according to police sources.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Hartigan then allegedly climbed on top of the woman and forcibly raped her, sources said.

Screaming, the terrified victim shoved Hartigan off of her and dashed out of the room, sources said.

She quickly went to the lobby and called 911, pointing out Hartigan to responding officers and telling them that he was her attacker, police sources said.

After his arrest, Hartigan was released upon posting $7,500 bail.

When contacted by The Post yesterday, Hartigan referred all inquiries to his lawyer.

His arraignment lawyer, Katherine Jaskot, refused to answer any questions.

The Standard is one of the city’s premier boutique hotels, famous for its floor-to-ceiling glass windows and location along the city’s High Line Park.
