A hit-and-run driver fatally mowed down a Queens man on his daughter’s 44th birthday as he returned home from a walk early yesterday, police said.
Carlos Carlo, 65, was crossing Rockaway Boulevard at 137th Avenue in Jamaica when a dark-colored sedan struck the granddad of six at about 12:30 a.m., and then sped off, cops said.
Paramedics rushed the retired limo driver Carlo to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
“I don’t want to celebrate my birthday anymore. I just lost my father . . . How could you take my Daddy away from me?” cried his eldest daughter Melissa Martin.
