‘iCarly’ star falls into NBC ‘Coma’

Miranda Cosgrove, who wrapped her longtime role in Nickelodeon’s “iCarly” last fall, will co-star in NBC’s sitcom pilot “Girlfriend in a Coma.”

The sitcom, executive-produced by Dick Wolf (“Law & Order”), is about a woman (Christina Ricci) who awakens from a coma after almost 20 years to discover she has a 17-year-old daughter, Evie (Cosgrove) — from a pregnancy of which she was unaware.

“Girlfriend in a Coma” is based on the book by Douglas Coupland.

Cosgrove, 19, spent seven years on Nick’s top-rated tween sitcom “iCarly,” and was in Nick’s “Drake & Josh” for four seasons prior to that.
