Former EMT convicted of sick sex crimes

A Brooklyn jury found an ex-FDNY emergency responder guilty of five sexual assaults yesterday in a blockbuster verdict that could land the remorseless rapist 220 years to life in prison.

Former EMT Angus Pascall was convicted of forcing himself on five Brooklyn females, including an 11-year-old he raped after trapping her inside her Crown Heights elevator using his FDNY key.

Jurors said the DNA evidence and Pascall’s own testimony convinced them of his guilt.

“DNA evidence is hard for me to ignore,” said juror Rachel Mann- heimer, 28. “It’s made me a lot more paranoid about walking the streets of Brooklyn. This is someone who needs to be off the streets.”

When Pascall took the stand this week, many jurors rolled their eyes at his self-serving statements.

“It was ridiculous. I laughed a few times,” said juror Carly McElroy, 24. “He was arrogant and condescending. He should have acknowledged that something terrible happened instead of acting so cavalier about it.”
