Missing ma’s ‘sad’ trip note

A Staten Island mother of two who vanished on a solo trip to Europe wrote a pal that she “sadly” had to end her dream vacation early.

“Head back to the states next wk,” Sarai Sierra, 33, wrote on Jan. 18. “Had to cut it short a little sadly but I had such a blast.”

Turkish cops want to talk with a man she wrote to online. Her husband, Steve, said the man’s a Dutch tour guide.

She didn’t check in at the Istanbul airport for her Jan. 21 flight home. Her brother, David Jimenez, and her husband landed in Istanbul late yesterday and were to meet with State Department and other officials this morning.

As she left home Jan. 7, she wrote an online photography group that she was off on a trip “totaling 3 weeks.”

Turkish cops say she left Istanbul for Amsterdam on the 15th and was in Munich on the 16th and back in Istanbul on the 19th.

She posted photos of Istanbul and Amsterdam but none of Munich. And all the ones she posted from Germany were of Amsterdam.

At 10 a.m. Jan. 20, she posted a photo of a winding riverbed with the words: “Your movement’s similar to a serpent.’’ Then she disappeared.
