MTV brings ‘Nikki & Sara’ to late-night

What scares the new hosts of MTV’s late-night talk show “Nikki & Sara Live,” debuting tonight?

“I think cussing is a fear,” Nikki Glaser (far left) tells The Post of her live-TV debut. So she intends to imagine everyone watching is a child — who happens to be up at 11 p.m.

“When kids are around, I don’t have a hard time” watching her language, she says. “So, instead of picturing everyone’s naked, I picture everyone’s a naked baby.”

The show is something of a TV version of Glaser and co-host Sara Schaefer’s popular comedy podcast “You Had To Be There,” which they started on a lark two days after meeting at a party in 2010.

A year later, they were shopping talk-show pilots together.

Both women grew up watching Conan O’Brien’s late-night show and “Saturday Night Live.”

The opening segment of the MTV show “resembles [‘SNL’s] ‘Weekend Update’ a little bit,” Schaefer says. “But we’re actually drawing a lot of inspiration from another area of TV, like ‘Access Hollywood Live’.

“Doing our funny version of the pop-culture news and what’s going on in Hollywood, with the same fervor that those shows do,” she says.

“And with some Conan silliness sprinkled on top,” Glaser adds.
