EMT ‘rapist’ faces skeptical jury of his fears

Predominantly female jurors rolled their eyes — and even chuckled in disbelief — as an ex-Fire Department EMT, accused of five sexual assaults on teenage girls, took the stand yesterday to maintain his innocence.

“If I’m in Staten Island and all the paramedics and EMTs saw me at work, how could I be in two places at the same time?” said Angus Pascall, 36, describing a 2010 FDNY training drill he’s claiming as an alibi for the day he allegedly raped an 11-year-old girl.

Prosecutors have said Pascall used his FDNY elevator key to trap the 11-year-old in her building’s elevator so he could rape her.

Members of the 15-member jury (including three alternates) — which only has two men — could hardly contain their disbelief at some of Pascall’s claims.

Several shifted uncomfortably when he said, “If a 33-year-old man had sex with an 11-year-old girl, there would be evidence.”

Prosecutors have said DNA evidence recovered from each of the five sexual assaults can be definitively traced to Pascall.

Pascall answered, “No, sir,” when Brooklyn ADA Michael Trabulsi asked if he attacked the five women.

One juror looked skeptical when Pascall said he didn’t know if a certain address was three blocks from where he was stationed.
