ALBANY — Gov. Cuomo’s administration will delay fracking again for months in New York if it misses a deadline tomorrow.
And Cuomo said yesterday that he hadn’t spoken to either of the two commissioners charged with advancing the process for allowing the high-volume natural-gas drilling in upstate’s Marcellus shale.
The state Department of Environmental Conservation must finalize an environmental-impact statement about the practice by tomorrow to avoid going back to square one in the rule-making process.
It is still awaiting a state Health Department review of the health impacts.
DEC officials did not respond to requests for comment yesterday.
