WATCH: SNL spoofs Tarantino with Jesus skit

He is risen – and boy is it gory.

“Saturday Night Life” aired a mock Quentin Tarantino movie trailer on this weekend’s episode that shows Jesus Christ (Christoph Waltz) getting ultimate revenge.

“Djesus Uncrossed” sees Jesus leaving his burial tomb to slaughter his captors.

The skit pulls inspiration from two of Waltz’s films, “Inglorious Basterds” and “Django Unchained” – as well as other movies directed by Tarantino such as “Pulp Fiction.”

“Djesus Uncrossed” features impersonations of Tarantino regulars Brad Pitt (Taran Killem) as St. Peter; Ving Rhames (Kenan Thompson) as Pontius Pilate; and Samuel L. Jackson (Jay Pharoah) as Judas Iscariot.

One trailer clip shows Jesus advising Judas, “When you get to Heaven, say hi to my dad” before shooting a hole in Judas’s chest. Other scenes see Christ stabbing a Roman rival in the head and firing guns while walking on water – showing that forgiveness isn’t always the answer, even for Jesus.
