Rubio makes a big $plash

Sen. Marco Rubio has taken his water gaffe and turned it into campaign cash.

The Florida Republican made headlines last week when he awkwardly paused to take a sip of water while giving the Republican response to the State of the Union speech.

The move made him the object of online ridicule. But the joke’s on his critics, as he’s raised more than $100,000 for his leadership PAC by selling “Rubio” stamped water bottles, according to Buzzfeed.

Donors who shelled out more than $25 received a bottle and more than 3,100 have been doled out.
