Slay Blade ‘’roid rage’

Cops found banned steroids inside the home of “Blade Runner” Oscar Pistorius,” and believe the Olympic track star may have killed his girlfriend in a boozy, ’roid rage, according to a bombshell new report.

The drugs were found during a search of Pistorius’ luxe Pretoria, South Africa, manse, which also turned up a blood-covered cricket bat.

Investigators said Pistorius might have smashed model Reeva Steenkamp’s skull with the bat before shooting her to death in the horrifying, pre-dawn Valentine’s Day attack.

“Steroid drugs were found at Pistorius’ home together with evidence of heavy drinking,” a source close to the investigation told The Sun of London.

“Police have specifically ordered that he be tested for steroids,” the source said of the 26-year-old double-amputee track star.

The bat, meanwhile, is a “central piece of evidence,” South Africa’s City Press newspaper reported, citing multiple police sources.

Investigators are looking at three scenarios: that Pistorius used the bat to bash Steenkamp; that the blond stunner used it to try and defend herself during a fight; or that Pistorius used the bat to bash through a bathroom door after his gal pal barricaded herself inside, according to the paper.

“There was lots of blood on the bat,” a source is quoted as saying. “Forensic tests will show whose blood it was.”

The paper also claims Steenkamp’s skull had been “crushed.”

Steenkamp, 29, had arrived there around 6 p.m., had an overnight bag at the house and was wearing a nightgown when she was shot to death through a locked bathroom door. Pistorius’ bed appeared to have been slept in, according to authorities.

“The suspicion is that the first shot, in the bedroom, hit her in the hip. She then ran and locked herself in the toilet. She was doubled over because of the pain. He fired three more shots,” a source told the City Press.

Police showed up at Pistorius’ house about two hours before the shooting because the couple were arguing, according to the Beeld newspaper.

Cops came back around 3:30 a.m. after a neighbor reported shots being fired.

Investigators are also looking into whether a late-night text Steenkamp got from South African rugby star Francois Hougaard played a part in the slay, The Sun reported.

Hougaard, a friend of both Steenkamp and Pistorius, regularly exchanged tweets with the stunning blond and after her death tweeted a photo of the three of them at dinner with friends.

A Pretoria police spokesman yesterday declined to comment on the report of the steroids and bloody bat.

Pistorius, nicknamed “Blade Runner” because of his high-tech artificial legs, has been charged with murder, but says he mistook Steenkamp for an intruder.

He is due back in court tomorrow — the same day Steenkamp’s family and friends will gather in Port Elizabeth for her memorial.
