Swift in hoedown showdown

Pop star Taylor Swift is being sued after she canceled an appearance at a Canadian “hoedown” last summer, according to a federal lawsuit.

A firm hired to promote the concert claims the “I Know You Were Trouble” singer pulled out after she was paid $2.5 million to perform in August at the “Capital Hoedown” near Ottawa, according to court documents filed in Central Islip, LI.

Swift’s bailing led to a bitter legal dispute between a firm hired to sell tickets, Evo Merchant Services, LLC, and Fire USA Inc., a company that processes credit-card orders, documents show. The singer was named as a third party.

After cancelling, Swift returned her fees, industry sources said in published reports — but the firms are asking a judge to force her to pick up their losses, according to the documents, filed last month.

The firms didn’t return calls for comment.
