Money talks for Hillary

WASHINGTON — Goodbye, State Department — hello, speakers circuit.

Weeks after ending her tenure as secretary of state, Hillary Rodham Clinton is ready to hit the lecture circuit, where she’s expected to command six figures for speeches and leap to being one of the world’s most coveted speakers.

She’ll likely join her hubby, ex-President Bill Clinton, as one of the highest-paid speakers in the world and at least match the average $180,000 he gets for a talk.

“I do think she can easily do six figures,” said Sonia Satra, a motivational speaker and the president of the New York chapter of the National Speakers Association. “I think she can equal his earning power.”

The former New York senator signed with the Harry Walker Agency in New York, the company announced yesterday. The agency also handles her husband and former Vice Presidents Dick Cheney and Al Gore.
